Welcome to the first issue of Pivotpoint4U newsletter!

It is now officially Spring and a perfect time for new
beginnings. You are receiving this inaugural newsletter
Pivotpoint4U because you are a client, businesses
associate, friend, family member or acquaintance of Karen
Hodson of PivotPoint4U.

Only this first issue will be sent to you. If you would

I am sending you this inaugural newsletter as an
introduction to my EFT business Pivotpoint4U because I have
some exciting news to share.

This first issue will be sent to the many people in my life
- clients, businesses associates, friends, family and

My intent is to send out a newsletter approximately once a
month - balancing keeping subscribers up to date and not
having an in-box of unread issues. I understand the need
for life to be easy, for both you and me! The purpose of
this newsletter is provide information that focuses
primarily on EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) but it may
also include other items and announcements that I feel you
may find useful. I would also appreciate you passing it

EFT and the Law of Attraction - a Two-part Teleseminar
F-R-E-E!!

I have been invited by Cathy Demers of Motivational
Resources, to be interviewed for a two part teleseminar
about EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques). Cathy is a
client of mine and has personally experienced some of the
amazing benefits of EFT. The first seminar on April 5,
will cover the basics of EFT and the tapping points. The
second teleseminar on April 19 will show you how to use EFT
to really get the Law of Attraction working for you in the
direction you want! There is no charge for both of these
sessions and if you are curious about EFT, want to learn
more about it, or even need a refresher, we would love you

Courses and Workshops

I am currently teaching an evening class, "Turning Your
Dreams Into Reality" which is 12 part series on EFT at the
UFCW 247 Training and Education Centre. It is in three
segments: 1. Releasing Fears That Stop you From Moving
Forward; 2. Exploring Limiting Beliefs and How to Re-frame
Them; and 3. Understanding Gains/Losses that Keep You
Stuck.

Discussions are also underway with another group for a
proposed EFT Saturday workshop. Once details are finalized
the information will be posted on the www.pivotpint4u.com
website. If you are interested in attending, please let me
know and I can update you when the details are finalized.

New EFT Film - Try It On Everything

The launching of a new film on EFT has just been announced!
The film "Try It On Everything" follows a group of 10
people
who previously didn't know EFT as they go through a 4-day
EFT retreat. The video, in a similar style to the movie The
Secret, includes interviews with notable EFT experts as
well as well-known presenters in the personal development
field. These include from the EFT community Dr. Carol Look,
Carol Tuttle, Rick Wilkes, Brad Yates and Canadian David
Rourke. Other names include Dr. Joseph Mercola, Jack
Canfield, Bob Proctor and Joe Vitale. The DVD of the film
can presently be purchased online at

Archetypes of Change

Nancy Shipley-Rubin, my teacher since 1991, will be in
Vancouver April 9-13 for the spring tour "Archetypes of
Change" and I highly recommend her lectures and workshops.
Nancy provides clear, direct guidance and teaching. She
comes from a place of integrity and presents the principles
of empowerment in an kind and humorous manner. Deep
learning and guaranteed at least one belly laugh, how good

Monthly EFT Article - Moving Into Acceptance With EFT

Each issue of the newsletter will have a segment of EFT
tapping on a particular theme. This month is "Moving
Into Acceptance with EFT". I hope you enjoy it and
practice the
tapping too!


Everyday we are bombarded with “negative” world news -
wars, natural disasters, death, tragedies, epidemics, and
so on. There is also the onslaught of personal “negative”
daily news, although not life threatening, it is still
harmful - spilled coffee, the car breaking down, children
fighting, partner disagreeing, angry boss, frustrated staff
and this list can also go on.

But what does Personal Peace really mean? How does one
move to a place of peace when everyday life seems to be in
such a state of chaos?

I am taking a course Journey into Wisdom, with Nancy
Shipley Rubin, and this month’s theme involves two
principles: Grace and Acceptance. I was discussing this
with a friend and we felt that in the moment of letting go
and surrendering, acceptance moves into that “in-between
space”. This needs to happen before any step forward can
take place. Both surrendering and acceptance are not
giving up or giving in, they are moving to a place that is
beyond being trapped in either a victim or aggressor
standpoint.

Nancy described Acceptance as a sense of grounded
objectivity in the Now – the “what is” in the moment. She
also said that Acceptance without truth – you live in
delusion, acceptance without compassion becomes apathy. I
believe that true Acceptance is from a place of inner truth
and in that space there is peace. We may not be able to
change the violent wars and destruction in the outside
world, but we do have control over our internal wars.

With EFT tapping, it allows the voice of that constant
internal battle to have an outlet. The negative emotions
and issues that keep getting pushed back are set free –
they say their part and then can be released. When
emotions are finally stated it is like taking the lid off a
pressure cooker and the steam can be set free.

If you can come to a place of acceptance, despite the fact
that the issue you are dealing with may be absolutely
terrible and a tragedy, it can release a tremendous amount
of pressure and angst inside. Staying in the place of
victim is a very heavy price to pay and can be emotionally
and physically draining, which exasperates the whole issue.
The sad part is that no one wins. Acceptance is a ticket
to emotional freedom.

Here is what an EFT tapping session on dealing with pain
could be like:

Tap the Karate Chop (side of the hand) the Set-up phrase
(repeated up to 3 times) then the tapping phrase sequence
(eyebrow, side of eye, under eye, under nose, chin, collar
bone, under arm, top of head) is repeated for as many
rounds as needed, adding new words or phrases as they come
up, until a more balanced feeling is present. Once
neutralized, go onto the next set-up and tapping phrase.


Karate Chop Set-up:
“Even though I have this internal battle raging in my body,
I deeply and profoundly love and accept myself.”

Tapping a phrase on each point:
"This raging war inside of me, I am so angry, “this
non-stop arguing, this issue is so frustrating, I will
never release this, I am so resistant, Its all “their”
fault, I feel so helpless, I’m the victim."

Karate Chop Set-up:
“Even though I am exhausted from this emotional war going
in deep inside me, I deeply and completely love and accept
myself anyway.”

Tapping a phrase on each point:
"I beat myself up so much, I can’t stop the fighting in my
head, nothing is working, I am so livid, I don’t know what
to do anymore, this is exhausting, I have battled for so
long, I don’t know what peace would be like, I can never
have peace."

These sequences can be repeated for as many rounds as
needed. Once a more neutral feeling is present the
following positive phrases can be introduced until it feels
complete.

Tapping a phrase on each point:
"I choose to release my anger, It feels so good to let this
war in my body dissipate, I love the feeling of peace
inside of me, I release this angry feeling, I choose to
feel calm, I accept where I am at, I release all those
battles, I allow compassion to flood my body, I am filled
with grace and beauty, I am so grateful for this peaceful
feeling."


When there is true acceptance of “what is” in the moment,
without judgment or apathy, there is an opportunity for
peace. The internal battle has ended. We can’t expect
peace to be in our physical world when a war rages on
inside of us. I believe that when we can truly create
peace in our inner space, only then will our outer world be
peaceful. Your road to personal peace can start right this
moment with simply tapping away one issue every day with
EFT.
